THE INDIA TODAY-MDRA SURVEY SHINES A BEACON ON DAVIET AS BEST CENTER OF LEARNING IN ENGINEERING EDUCATION

DAVIET RANKED 15TH AMONGST THE BEST PRIVATE ENGINEERING COLLEGES OF NORTH INDIA

DAV Institute of Engineering and Technology made it to the elite league of best engineering colleges in the country as it was ranked 15th in the nationwide survey of Best Private Engineering Colleges of North India by India Today-MDRA Survey. The achievement confirms the fact that DAVIET has established itself as a high seat of learning in the field of technical and professional education in the nation. The Institutions in the fray were evaluated in the core domains of Infrastructure and Quality Governance, Academic Excellence, Infrastructure and Living Experience, Personality and Leadership Development and Career Progression and Placement. The Institution was awarded the 15th rank by India Today after multiple rounds of enquiry and validation which involved getting the preliminary information through detailed questionnaires, followed by validation visits, parameters assignment and weightage finalization to ensure a rigorous quantitative and qualitative analysis of the rankings of top engineering colleges in India. The highlight of the survey was the fact that the India Today- MDRA team directly contacted about 10,000 colleges fulfilling the eligibility criteria seeking objective data for verification. Attested hard copies and soft copies were sought and 1,207 eligible institutes submitted institutional data along with voluminous supporting documents within the stipulated deadline.

Dr. Manoj Kumar, Principal DAVIET congratulated the faculty, staff and all the stakeholders for this achievement. He shared that the higher education scenario in India is highly competitive as there are 37 million students studying across about 50,000 institutes of higher education. He emphasized the fact that the nation today is witnessing a knowledge revolution and it is information coupled with wisdom which can make individuals the true leaders of tomorrow. He shared that the Institution is committed to provide a sound theoretical base to the students along with hands on practical knowledge to equip and empower them to meet the demands of the industry. To achieve the aim, the Institution pays special attention to incorporating additional aspects to the curriculum which are aligned with the needs of the industry. Further, he highlighted that the focus of education at the institution is to create an atmosphere of genuine research on the one hand and to encourage students to become entrepreneurs on the other. He also shared that the emphasis on academics is observable in the field of placements as well and the highest pay packet of Rs 20.60 Lakhs has been offered by Adobe systems. The institute has also been accredited by NAAC with ‘A’ grade in the year 2017. He shared that all this has been possible because here at DAVIET, cross functionality and interdisciplinary approach is emphasized. He credited the dedicated faculty and staff for the achievement which leave no stone unturned in facilitating the learning experience of the students in every possible way.
