CHARISMA-2k22 DAVIET’s Fresher’s Party  – A Talent Spectrum

CHARISMA -2022, the Mega Annual Fresher’s Party of DAVIET, Jalandhar, was organised with great pomp and show on November 11 2022. The event symbolises the Time to enter a different phase, meet new faces, make new mates and learn new ways. Freshers’party is a formal welcome to the first-year entrants by their seniors. It provided the students with a platform to exhibit their talent in various cultural events. The foot-tapping music, the flashlights, and the excitement and high spirits of the youngsters made the party joyful and exuberant.

TALENT HUNT, ADHARVA 2K22 – A NEW BEGINNING

DAVIET organised the Annual Talent Hunt ADHARVA 2k22on the campus with great zeal and enthusiasm on September 21 2022. The theme of the Talent Hunt was “75th Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav”. The talent hunt theme exemplifies that DAVIET is committed to celebrating and honouring the sacrifices made by our forefathers to get freedom from the British yoke. Talent hunt provides a platform for first-year students to display their talents on a big stage. It also gives a chance to the organising students to provide their juniors with the much-needed exposure to show a healthy competition full of learning and an overall fantastic experience.

It was a moment of immense pride for the entire DAVIET family when Akhil Katyal of B.Tech. IT 4th year, Mukul Joshi of MBA 2nd year, Aarham Jain of B.Tech. CSE 2nd year, and Pranika Sharma of BBA 2nd year secured the 2nd prize in the AD MAD SHOW. Deepanshu uppal Of B.Tech., EE 2nd Year, and Jeewan Jyoti B.Tech. EE 2nd year secured 1 prize in project display. Arshdeep Singh of B.Tech. CSE secured the 2nd prize in face painting. Manish and Rohit of the B.Tech. CSE 2nd year secured 1st and 2nd prizes in code debugging.

DAVIETIANS SHINE IN ALL INDIA FOLK ART CONTEST 2023 organized by Indian Cultural Association (Regd.) on 10th-11th March 2023

It was a moment of immense pride for the entire DAVIET family when  Navneet Kaur of B.Tech CSE secured 1st Prize in Folk song Competition. Students also got 1st prize in Marriage song Competition. Bhangra and Giddha team of Daviet also secured 1st prize. Where Saloni of B.Tech ECE got 1st in  Best dancer and Ritambhra of MBA got 3rd. Aarhaam Jain of B.Tech CSE secured 1st prize in Mimicry and Gaurav Sharma of B.Tech IT secured 2nd in Histronics.

DAVIET REIGNS SUPREME IN IKG PTU ZONAL YOUTH FESTIVAL 2022

Team DAVIET reigned supreme in the recently concluded IKG PTU Zonal Youth Festival, 2022. 498 contestants from institutions affiliated with the University participated in as many as 32 cultural events. Team DAVIET showed outstanding commitment to outperform the other contestants to win laurels for their alma mater.

Dr. Sudhir Sharma, the Principal of the Institution,congratulated the winners.He highlighted that life learning happens outside the classroom environment,which paves the way for acquiring life skills. He also highlighted the importance of stage participation in one’s later life. He motivated the students to give their best and never be complacent, so they should win the Interzonal Youth Festival as it has become the norm.

Ms. Jasdeep Johal, the Cultural Officer of the Institute, expressed her happiness at the win. She thanked the principal, Dr. Sudhir, for his unconditional support and guidance. Ms. Johal also showed optimism about Team DAVIET performing well and winning the laurels at the Inter Zonal Youth Festival.

Team DAVIET won the theatre Trophy, The Literary Trophy, The Music Trophy, and the Fine Arts Trophy. Meghna Sharma was declared the Best Actress, Ameek Sidhu was declared the Best Dancer (Gidha), and Divanshu was declared the second-best Dancer (Bhangra). Here are a few glimpses:
