Oracle Academic Initiative:

The Oracle Academic Initiative (OAI) is a unique partnership with us   to integrate Oracle into a standard degree program. The Oracle Academic Initiative specifically targets partnership with the higher education community including Oracle software, state-of-the-art Oracle curriculum, faculty training, and certification resources. The OAI mission is to enable colleges and universities to deliver industry-relevant and marketable Oracle skills to their students as an enhancement to a standard degree program of study.

Cisco Networking Academy:

The Cisco Networking Academy Program teaches students valuable Internet technology skills, including networking, Web design, IT Essentials, Cabling, Java and UNIX. The Academy Curriculum covers a broad range of topics from basics on how to build a network to how to build a website and more complex IT concepts such as applying advanced troubleshooting tools.

The curriculum prepares students for the demands of the workplace and motivates them to continue their education and learning. The program recognizes multiple learning styles of students with Web-based, multimedia content; online assessment and evaluation throughout the course; hands-on labs; and instructor training and support. Upon completion, students have the opportunity to take a certification exam.

As a Sun Academic Initiative partner, our institution gets quality curriculum and support directly from Sun, one of the world's premier IT training companies. The Sun Academic Initiative offers integrated curriculum solutions via a variety of delivery methods. Students can get in-class, hands-on instruction from Sun authorized faculty and participate in projects and case studies facilitated by experienced, technical professionals. Students can also study at their own pace online from any browser through the Sun Web Learning Center.

The courses in the Sun Academic Initiative Program help prepare students to become certified in Sun technologies, such as the Java programming language and Solaris Operating System. And that certification can go a long way in helping them stand above the crowd when marketing themselves to potential employers.

Sun Academic Initiative participants receive a substantial discount on certification costs.


IBM University Relations Lab:

The IBM Academic Initiative (formerly called the IBM Scholars Program) offers open standards; open source and IBM technologies and educational resources to help faculty and students stay current with the IT industry.
We can now give students access to IBM software through the IBM University Relations. Periodical conduction of workshops on IBM DB2, IBM Web Sphere and other technologies.

Around 80 students were certified in DB2 and Web sphere technologies.
