PTU stupendously for the first time participated in the National Youth Festival that was held on 20th to 24th January, 2008 at Shivaji University Kohlapur . Maintaining the winning spree DAV Institute of Engineering & Technology, Jalandhar has once again conspicuously managed to bring laurels to its university by bagging second position in Mime. Almost 45 Indian universities participated in this National Cultural Bonanza and PTU participated in the category of Mime, Quiz and Western Vocal Solo.

 The victorious team comprises of Arvind Juglan, Rahul Sahi, Ankush Sharma, Rakesh Kumar, Rashmi Rathi, Sanchit Kumar, along with their Incharge, Mr. Gagandeep Sharma, Lecturer in Electrical Engg.  was warmly greeted on their arrival at the railway station,Jalandhar  by  Sh. C.L.Kochher Director-cum-Principal , Mr. Amit Kohli, the cultural officer, other members of the faculty and  students of DAVIET.  DAVIET students proved themselves to be the best in the cultural arena.

These Conquerors will be heading to represent India at the International Platform i.e. Third South Asian Universities Youth festival (SAUFEST) to be held on Feb 7 to 11,

2008 at Kathmandu University, Nepal.  It has been firmly affirmed in the minds of all that DAVIET is the perfect podium to foster talent and innovate new ideas along with the opportunity to witness a rich cultural heritage.
