DAV Institute of Engineering & Technology, Jalandhar celebrated the 101st Birth Anniversary of great martyr Shaheed-e-Azam Sardar Bhagat Singh. To commemorate the event a show titled “Rang De Basanti” was organized on October 4th, 2008. Sh. C.L.Kochher, Director-cum-Principal of DAVIET paid his accolade to Shaheed Bhagat Singh, the most famous faces of Indian freedom struggle
S. Jagmohan Singh, an Inquilabi singer presented a patriotic song that inculcated the sense of patriotism in all present there. An enlightening play titled “Suraj Shipan To Pehilan” was presented in a very artistic way by the students of DAVIET
Blood Donation and Drug De-addiction

DAV Institute Of Engineering & Technology, Jalandhar, in association with Bharat Vikas Parishad organized a gigantic seminar on Drug De-addiction abreast a mega blood donation camp in the highly titivated campus of DAVIET on August 13, 2008. Sh. Ishwer Chander (IPS),DIG Jalandhar remained the Chief Guest whereas Sh. Yash Mahajan State President, B.V.P. graced the occasion as the Guest of Honor.

DAV Institute of Engg. & Technology, Jalandhar celebrated Independence Day on August 15, 2008 in the Lala Chanchal Dass Auditorium with great zeal and zest. Sh. K.D. Bhandari, MLA Jalandhar-North was the chief guest for this auspicious occasion. Sh. C.L.Kochher, Director-cum-Principal of DAVIET has delivered speech on this occasion highlighting the sacrificies of freedom fighters.
