Dr Satish Sharma, Director Colleges, DAVCMC New Delhi, inaugurated the branch office of DAVIET in Ludhiana here today. This affirmative step has been taken under the guidance of the DAVCMC, New Delhi with the aim of diversifying and expanding the institute to cater to a wider population. The office has been set up at SCO-11, Model Town Extension Market, Near Krishna Mandir, Ludhiana.
Speaking on the occasion Dr Satish Sharma, Director Colleges DAVCMC New Delhi highlighted that DAVIET Jalandhar has established itself as a prominent seat of learning in the entire region of North India under the able stewardship of principal Dr. Manoj Kumar. He also stated that DAV organization is committed to provide quality education to masses so that youth of the nation can be empowered to take the country forward. He shared with all that DAV movement has a rich human resource base as it boasts of 3000000 active students currently enrolled in more than 850 colleges and schools across the country and 4000000 alumni serving the society in various capacities. He expressed his confidence that DAVIET will carry forward the same tradition and will succeed in creating well educated, responsible and conscientious citizens of the nation.

Dr. Manoj Kumar, principal DAVIET stated that the new branch office in Ludhiana has been established to reach out to more people and to provide them quality education in consonance with the rich Arya Samaj culture and values. He shared that diversification and expansion is the need of the hour and this year alone DAVIET has added three new UGC courses of B.Com(Hons.), Bachelors in Hotel Management and Catering Technology (BHMCT), and Bachelors of Tourism and Travel Management with the annual intake of 60 students each in addition to the AICTE approved graduate engineering programs and Post graduate engineering and Business Administration programs. Further, students pursuing BCA and BBA at DAVIET can join BCIS at Fraser Valley University Canada and BBA at Yorkville University, Canada, respectively, after 2 years at DAVIET through credit transfer and shall complete the remaining 2 years over there. He said that 20 students from each stream having more than 60% marks in the qualifying exam and excellent communication skills will get an opportunity to co-opt for a job with a salary of 8000-10000 per month while studying in these courses. He also stated that all the stakeholders of DAVIET work tirelessly to facilitate the learning experience of students and the efforts have borne results as well. The institute was awarded the Best Engineering College status by IKGPTU Jalandhar, and has been ranked 11th in a nationwide survey conducted by CSR-GHRDC, to name but two.
