Teachers host Fresher’s Party for The Students

The students being the very first batch, there was no seniors to host the Fresher’s Party. Therefore Fresher Party to the students was organized by the teachers themselves on 13th October 2001. On this occasion, a cultural Program was organized by the students. Principal C.L. Kochher inaugurated the function by highlighting the ‘Jyoti’. Students, Shallu & Rahul were Declared Miss Fresher & Mr. Fresher of DAVIET respectively.

           Seminars and Paper Presentation

A Seminar on “Embedded Systems” was delivered by Sh Arvind Dixit, Director, and Advanced Technologies Chandigarh. He presented the latest techniques in the subject matter in a unified and interesting manner.

Our student namely, Mr. Mohit Batra and Mr. Hitesh Gupta of B.tech 1st sem (CSE) on 14th October, 2001 presented a technical paper on “ Neural   Networks and fuzzy Logic”in Techincial Paper  Presentation Symposium organized under the banner of I.S.T.E at LLRIET Moga. It was National Level event and the performance of our sdtuents was creditable and applauded by all.
 
 Sh Surinder  Seth delivred a lecture on “ Communication Techniques”. He expressed his precious thoughts on “How to communicate better” and laid emphasis on the body language and one’s personality.

A Declamation contest on the topics, “My Dream College” and “If I were the Principal of DAVIET” was organized. And the winners were prince Jain, Baneesh Banwait and Damanpreet Kaur, Amit Sharma respectively

Celebrations

“Teacher’s Day “was celebrated in the institute on September 5, 2001. The Loins Club honoured Sh C.L. Kochher, Director-cum-Principal on this day for the continuation in the field of education. The students regaled the audience with a cultural program. Later they presented the faculty members token of esteem as a mark of respect

 Independence Day : On 15th august.2001 the independence day was celebrated by the faculty and the students of DAVIET. Sh Kundan Lal Agarwal, Chariman , Local Managing Committee, was the chief Guest on the occasion .

Republic Day: On 26th January, 2001 the republic Day was celebrated with great “Pomp and Show” in the campus Dr. Sandhu Singh, Director (colleges), Punjab Techincal University, Jalandhar was the chief guest. Sh. C.L. Kochher, Director-cum –Principal welcomed the chief guest after hoisting of the National flag. Patriotic songs were sung by the students.

General Activities

Our Staff  and students participated in “Jan Chetna Yatra” on 23 the Novmber,2001 , which was organized  by the Arya Pradeshik Prathnidhi Up- Sabha, Punjab.All DAV Institution of the State participated simultaneously against the ever creeping evils in our society  with special emphasis on Corruption, Female infanticide, Castism and Dowry System. The rally was flagged off by the hon’ble Presedient of DAV College Managing Committee Padam Shri G.P.Chopra and Shri D.R. Gupta, Prsident of Up-Sabha. Our Institute put up on enroute a series of picture and painting depicting the themes of rally  

             
Our students participated in Dainik Jagran Utsav-2001 on 6ht September,2001 and presented the Lazium Dance which left the audience electrified .
