The provision of expert advice to external clients by the Institute  staff is one of the principal mechanisms by which knowledge that has practical application can be disseminated, thereby contributing to the growth of the economy and to the needs of society generally. Consultancy is therefore an important example of an activity through which the institute can promote and support productive interactions with industry. DAVIET has experiencd faculty memebers and well equipped labs in all the departments to provide consultancy services to the various organisations. Number of research projects are currently in development. Department of Civil Engineering offers laboratory testing of building materials and water. Department also provides civil consultancy services in surveying and structural designing. The department is looking after the various construction work of DAV managing committee New Delhi all over India. Department of Computer Science/ Information Technology has developed number of projects for the many organizations.
