RESEARCH & CONSULTANCY ACTIVITIES

Research activities: The department is engaged in various research activities at one or other level. At present Four of the faculty members are Pursuing their PhD's in the the field of Soil stabilization, Modeling of Concrete composites, Environmental engineering.
Faculty of department has also involved students in various undergoing projects:

    • Water Distribution System.
    • Estimating and Costing.
    • Solid Waste Management.
    • Design of Rain Water harvesting system.
    • Design of Earthquake Resistant structures.

    Consultancy Services: To provide the quality services for technical problems at reonable and affordable rates as a service to society in general and to the engineering fraternity in particular. Department of Civil engineering is constantly engaged in providing consultancy services to the local industries/contractors. It includes material testing viz. Cement, steel, bricks, sand, coarse aggregates, water, concrete mix designs, cube & soil testing etc.

    Department also offers civil consultancy services in surveying, structural designing, water & waste water testing. The department is looking after the various construction work of DAV managing committee New Delhi all over India.
