Punjab Technical University Inter College Badminton (Men & Women) Tournament

Punjab Technical University Inter College Badminton Tournament got under way here at DAV Institute of Engineering and Technology, Jalandhar. The 3-day tournament will witness students participating in men and women category to life the coveted title. Teams from 27 Engineering and other colleges affiliated to PTU are taking part in this mega event. There are in all 27 teams in Boys and 12 teams in Girls category.
Padamshree S. Pargat Singh, Director Sports and Former Indian Hockey Team Captain was the chief guest on the inaugural day.

DAVIET teams displayed their mettle yet again and lifted overall trophy in both Boys as well as Girls Category. Speaking at the concluding ceremony chief guest S. Sajjan Singh Cheema, Arjuna Awardee and SSP Jalandhar, who himself has been a renowned basketball player, applauded the efforts of DAVIET for organizing such events on regular basis and those too with such a wonderful discipline.

Ms. KomalPreet of DAVIET was declared as the best players of the tournament in Girls Category.

Runners-up- Shaheed Udham Singh College of Engineering and Technology, Tangori
3rd position was bagged by IET, Bhaddal.

GIRLS
Winner – DAV Institute of Engineering and Technology, Jalandhar
Runners-up – Giani Zail Singh College of Engineering and Technology, Bathinda
3rd position was bagged by team from Adesh Institute of Engineering & Technology, Faridkot.
