LAB FACILITIES
 

The Engineering physics laboratory acquaints with the experiments based upon the fundamentals they learn in theory. The lab is adorned with best infrastructure. This lab has special equipments like laser units, facilities for measuring various properties of semiconductors like band gap, carrier density, and resistivity etc. and for measuring optical fiber parameters like numerical aperture, attenuation etc. In addition to this lab also offers holographic studies. The major emphasis of this course is to develop scientific temper and better understanding of technical and engineering problems among students.
 
The Engineering Chemistry Laboratory has been designed to provide students with a basic understanding of the chemistry that may be required by engineers in the course of their careers. This laboratory is equipped with Spectrometers, Conductivity meters, Colorimeters, pH meters, BOD Incubator, Flame photometers etc. to familiarise students with a variety of methods used to study matter from the molecular perspective. Ten experiments are demonstrated in this course which covers analysis of water(acidity, residual chlorine,hardness,BOD,COD measurements) ; spectroscopic studies of  molecules; synthesis of organic polymers and chromatographic studies etc. In addition to these courses , further equipments and chemicals  are available for the analysis of polluted water samples.
 
Digital Language Lab (DLL) is indeed an inevitable requirement for all the engineering and technical institutions. With the acceleration in the scope of communication skills, the digital language labs have taken a forefront position in all the institutes. A state-of-the-art digital language lab has been established in the newly built post graduate block of the institute. Students of this part of the country are certainly proficient as far as technical aspects are concerned, yet they are immensely lacking in the soft skills. The chief function of DLL is to develop communication skills of the pupils through practical exposure. In the theroy part, the budding engineers study the intricacies of English language and in DLL they indulge in the practical usage of the language. DLL is a versatile lab, which not only develops the speaking and listening skills but also chisels the reading and writing skills. All the above mentioned skills are absolutely essential for the over all development of personality. Students will improve their group discussion skills as well as their presentation skills, which would prove to be a remarkable asset at the time of their interviews.
