ALUMNI ACTIVITIES

 

Dr. A.S. Arora, Principal (DAVIET), welcomed the students and apprised them of the marvels that the Institute is taking in various fields of development. His speech echoed an emotional attachment and a yearning for eternal bond with the Alumners. Dr. Arora motivated the students to further strengthen the mutual bond between the Alma Mater and the Alumni. 

It was followed by a presentation of agenda delivered by Mrs. Neeru Malhotra, Convener, Alumni Affairs. In the mentioned agenda, Mrs. Neeru discussed the following issues:

  • Regarding the time of organizing Annual Meet with respect to DAVIET Alumni Chapter (Chandigarh Region).
  • Regular Newsletter to improve the communication with its Alumni.
  • Distinguished Alumnus Award from the Alumni Chapter.
  • To start Distinguished Alumnus lecture series for the current students.
  • Publishing an Alumni Directory for Alumni Chapter (Chandigarh Region).  
  • Office Bearers for the DAVIET Alumni Chapter (Chandigarh Region) namely Chandigarh Chapter Head (1), Chapter General Secretary (1), Chapter Organizing Secretary (1), Chapter Treasurer (1) & Chapter Executive Member (3).
  • Support to boost securing Quality Placements/training for our existing students.

She also motivated the Alumners to unite with the Alma Mater to touch new horizons of quality and excellence in the field of technical education. The unanimously elected Office Bearers for DAVIET Alumni Chapter (Chandigarh Region) are as follows:

  • Executive Member-                                       Mr. Sunil Sharma

This was followed by a very memorable Interaction / view sharing session which was conducted by Mr. Puneet Pathak, Alumner from the region. This interaction / view sharing was centered on the theme of improvement and upliftment of the institute. This interaction also witnessed some very valid suggestions from the Alumners and it was thematically experienced that the Alumni Meetings should be more frequent so as to bridge the gap between Alumni and their Alma Mater.

This delightful occasion ended with honours to Prof. C.L. Kochher (Regional Director) in absentia, Dr. A.S. Arora, Principal, and the present Alumni on the function. It was indeed a culmination in which every heart was filled with bundles of memories that are going to act as milestones in the lives of all of us. 

First Meeting of DAVIET Alumni Association

The first meeting of DAVIET Alumni Association was held on Oct. 22, 2006, that was honoured by the presence of Ex-DAVIETian’s who serve in all parts of country and abroad on honourable posts.  The alumni shared their experiences and promised all possible help to their juniors
