Charisma 2015

CHARISMA 2015, the Mega Annual Fresher’s Party of DAVIET, Jalandhar was organized with great pomp and show. The event meant a formal welcome to the first year entrants by their seniors. It provided the students with a euphoric platform to exhibit their talent in a wide variety of cultural events.
The Chief Guest of the function was Mr. Y.S. Hayer, Commissioner of Police Jalandhar. Ms. Navneet Kaur Bal, PCS and an Alumnus of the DAVIET embellished the occasion as the worthy Guest of Honour. The function was attended by the most worthy members of the Governing Body of the Institute namely Sh. Surinder Seth, Sh. Ajay Goswani and Sh. Kundan Lal Aggarwal. The other prominent dignitaries of the city who graced the gala event include Principal Raj K Sehgal, Sh. Balvinder Vikki (Chacha Raunki Ram)- an acclaimed Punjabi comedian, Ms. Ramneet Kaur- a known TV artist, Prof. Jasbir Rishi, Prof. Sharad Manocha  to name a few.

the Pollywood Icon, singing sensation and a heart-throb of the youth remained the star attraction of this grand event. He rocked the stage with his top chart busters. Dr. Manoj Kumar, Principal DAVIET extended a rapturous welcome to the Chief Guest, Guest of Honor other Dignitaries and awarded the winners.

Talent Hunt 2015

DAVIET’s “LA TALENTO” CULMINATES on a high note…

DAVIET organized its Talent Hunt Program “LA TALENTO” hosting various cultural, technical, musical and theatrical events for the newly enrolled students of 2015 batch to unleash their hidden talent being a fresh lot of budding technocrats. The gala event culminated today on a commendable note. The show provided the budding DAVIETians a platform to showcase their skills in the events ranging from Fine Arts to Cultural and Literary categories and served as selection criteria for participation in the upcoming University Youth Festivals and other Inter-college competitions. The participants exhibited tremendous zeal and enthusiasm in the event that spanned two days and the show proved to be a grand success as a result. The event witnessed an enthusiastic and active participation of the students. About 150 students participated in various events of La Talento. The auditorium was abuzz with excitement as the students gave their best to outdo each other in a healthy environment. The competition demonstrated in all the events, namely Indian Vocal (Classical Light), Western Vocal, Folk Songs, Indian & Western Dance, Debate, Extempore, Elocution, Poetry Recitation, Fine Arts, Quiz, Dramatics and many more. The Judges too had a tough time in selecting the winners. Dr. Manoj Kumar, Principal DAVIETcongratulated and awarded the winners.
